How it works
The ions for hydroxide (OH) radicals are highly oxidising when they adhere to the surfaces of airborne microbes like suspended allergens, bacteria, mould and viruses. They remove hydrogen from the surface protiens, breaking them down. The hyroxide (OH) radicals combine with hydrogen (H) to form water (H2O) which returns to the air.

The effectiveness of Plasmacluster Ions has been proven worldwide at 24 Institutes. Tests are conducted in laboratory conditions using various Plasmacluster Ion densities of up to 50,000 ions/cm3.
Maintain the humidity in your home
The recommended humidity level in your home is between 40-60%. If the humidity is above or below the recommended level viruses, bacteria, mould and dust mites are able to easily breed and grow. When the room becomes dry the sensor detects a change in the temperature and humidity level. The humidifying filter will start to rotate, picking up water from the tank and release moisture into the air. When the humidity reaches the desired level the filter is removed from the water and dried by the airflow to prevent mould growth.
Sensor Smart
Relax and enjoy breathable fresh air. The built in dust, odour, temperature and humidity sensor will do all the hard work for you. When the sensor recognises a change in the air, the Clean Sign will change colour from green to yellow or red dependng on the serverity of the change. When dust or other airborne particles are detected, the air purifier will increase the fan speed to capture and reduce any airborne substances. When humidity is detected below 40% moisture will be added to the air until the ideal level of humidity between 40-60% is reached.
Efficient and Powerful
The long collection nozzle based on aerodynamics provides a faster and more efficient air flow. In addition, the Plasmacluster dispersion directs airflow backwards at a 20-degree angle as well as forwards for rapid air purification. This delivers up to 1.5 times higher density of Plasmacluster ions when dispersed into a room for 60 minutes enabling quick removal. The aerodynamic structure quickly collects dust and other particles from low parts of the room.
Allergen Removal
The HEPA filter helps to remove common household allergens such as dust, pollen, pet dander and smoke from the air. The Sharp HEPA filter captures 99.97% of these particles as small as 0.3 microns. The deodoriser pre-filter is to prevent larger dust and dirt particles reaching the HEPA filter and capture any odours drawn through the filter system.
Passive and Active Air Purification
By using both passive and active purification methods, the air is being filtered more effectively and efficiently. The Passive method is based on the HEPA, deodoriser and pre-filter filtration systems. Air is drawn into the system for the filters to capture substances from the air. The Active method cleanses the air by releasing positive and negative ions throughout the room reducing and deactivating airborne substances using Sharp's patent Plasmacluser Ion technology.
Seal of Approval
Plasmacluster Air Purifiers are certified from the British Allergy Foundation. The Seal of Approval is for products which restrict/reduce/remove allergens from the environment of the allergy sufferer and for products which have significantly reduced allergen content. When considering which Air Purifier is the most suitable, you will need to consider the room size to ensure the Air Purifier is powerful enough for the room. Consumer Products Warranty Statement
This Sharp product is warranted against faults in material and manufacture for the period as stated in the table below.
If service is required during the warranty period, please contact your nearest Sharp Approved Service Centre. These repairs would be carried out at no charge to the owner, subject to the conditions specified herein.
This warranty does not extend to defects or injuries caused by or resulting from causes not attributable to faulty parts or the manufacture of the product, including but not limited to, defect or injury caused by or resulting from misuse, abuse, neglect, lack of maintenance, accidental damage, improper voltage, liquid spillage, vermin infestation, software, or any alterations made to the product which are not authorised by Sharp.
Please retain your sales documentation, as this should be produced to validate a warranty claim. This warranty is in addition to and in no way limits, varies or excludes any implied rights and remedies under any relevant legislation in the country of sale.
This warranty does not cover transportation to and from the Sharp Approved Service Centre. Goods presented for repair may be replaced by refurbished goods of the same type rather than being repaired. Refurbished parts may be used to repair the goods. The repair of your goods may result in the loss of user generated data, please ensure that you have saved this data elsewhere prior to repair.
