Miso Prawns


6 medium raw prawns, shelled and deveined, tails left on


1 teaspoon white miso paste

2 teaspoons brown sugar

1 teaspoon fresh lime juice

1 teaspoon garlic, minced

1 teaspoon ginger, minced

2 tablespoons water

Noodle Salad:

50g vermicelli noodles, cook using packet instructions

¼ cup mix of coriander and mint leaves, chopped

½ small chilli, sliced

1 teaspoon lime juice

1/4 carrot, sliced

¼ cucumber, sliced

1 shallot, sliced

Step by step

  • In a small microwave safe glass bowl, combine sauce ingredients.
  • Add prawns and microwave on HIGH (100%) for 45 seconds. Stir the prawns and then microwave on HIGH (100%) for a further 45 seconds.
  • Combine salad ingredients and mix well.
  • Serve prawns and miso sauce on top of salad.
