Mark Beard, National Marketing Manager for Sharp Corporation of Australia said, “We are proud to be a step ahead of the global market, and thrilled that Sharp’s LC-70UD1X will be the first 4K model on the market to pass THX certification. THX has been conducting third party evaluation for HDTVs for some time, but only recently began certifying 4K HDTVs.

The TV has a high quality Japanese-made panel that not only delivers brilliant picture quality, but also a slim, elegant design” Beard said.

Picture quality is further enhanced on the LC-70UD1X with Edge LED backlighting and AquoMotion UHD – technology to reduce motion blur and deliver crystal-clear images, even during fast-motion scenes.

Sound quality is second to none with Sharp’s Duo BASS technology – incorporating two subwoofers into a sleek, streamlined front bezel. Teamed with 3D and 2D surround sound, the LC-70UD1X produces a crisp, superior audio experience comparable to cinema quality sound.
