Beyond Full HD Experience with Sharp’s LCD TV Quattron Pro Series
Sharp Australia is bringing viewing experiences to life with the launch of the Sharp Quattron Pro Series. Available in 60”, 70” and 80” screens, Sharp’s new LCD TVs are packed full of innovative features creating a home cinema experience like no other.
Revolutionary 4 colour technology
The Quattron Pro Series has enhanced viewing experience by adapting the Red Green Blue (RGB) colour spectrum found in Full HD TVs to include a yellow sub-pixel. Traditionally, technology only allows viewers to control sub-pixel vertically; the Quattron Pro Series sub-pixel can be independently controlled both vertically and horizontally to enhance the colour clarity on the screen.
The new series also boasts 2.5 times more sub-pixels compared to conventional Full HD TVs producing clearer and more vivid picture quality.
Mark Beard, National Communications & Branding Manager for Sharp Corporation of Australia, said the new colour technology will transform the way Australians view television.
“We’re very proud of this new range and excited to provide Australians with the ability to adjust their viewing preferences in a way they’ve never been able to before”. “With the additions of new independently controlled sub-pixels and the sleek and sophisticated Japanese design, we’ve made the future of technology elegant and available to everyone,” he said.
Experience beyond Full HD
Teaming advanced technology with built-in upscaling ensures consumers only watch the best possible images on their screen. The upscaler renders all images from cable, TV, Blu-ray, DVD and games enhancing picture sharpness to create a smoother picture.
“The 4K ready Quattron Pro technology allows 4K content to easily hook up to the screen via HDMI connections, putting Sharp a step ahead once 4K contents and players are more widely available in the market,” Beard said.
The viewing experience is further advanced by the use of Aquomotion 800 – a combination of a 200Hz Native panel refresh rate and Backlight scanning system. By controlling the liquid-crystal panel drive and LED backlight shuttering, Aquomotion 800 reduces motion blur and improves picture clarity in fast motion scenes – producing an impressive viewing experience.
Smart TV compatibility
Sharp’s Quattron Pro Series is equipped with remarkable Smart TV technology. Built-in WiFi, Bluetooth and an SD card slot provides greater versatility for a range of entertainment options.
Miracast and MHL functions allow users to link compatible smartphones and tablets to the LCD TV and extend web browsing and game applications to the big screen.
THX certified cinema quality
The new series has passed over 200 tests targeting motion processing, colour accuracy and panel performance and has also been awarded THX certification.
“Founded by Star Wars director, George Lucas, THX certification is only awarded to TVs capable of reproducing the image accuracy, quality and consistency of a professional post-production movie studio. Movie buffs can be assured the on-screen experience will be of an incredible cinematic quality,” Beard said.
Sound quality has not been overlooked with the inclusion of Audio Engine by Yamaha, boasting powerful 35W audio and a built-in subwoofer to guarantee every scene sounds as good as it looks.
The sleek Diamond Cut design teamed with a slim aluminium finish on the top and bottom bezel makes the Quattron Pro series the perfect fit for any home. The LC60LE960X and LC70LE960X models are equipped with a Scorpion Stand design while the LC80LE960X boasts the traditional, streamlined Sharp stand.
There are three new TVs in the Quattron Pro series, the LC60LE960X, LC70LE960X and LC80LE960X, available at RRP $3,499, $4,999 and $8,499 respectively. All three are available from Sharp stockists.
